MLS Data and RETS Integration
Most MLS boards offer some sort of 'Canned' website with access to their MLS Data through a prebuilt Property search tool. A simple Google search of real estate in your area should show you dozens of these sites. These are a cheap option for realtors and they most often produce cheap looking websites.
Over the last few years, the real estate industry has create a standardized method for websites to access MLS data without using these prebuilt sites. This method is called RETS. using a RETS MLS datafeed allows you to take the data from your MLS board and present it in your website with much greater control over how it is displayed.
Maybe you want your listings to appear at the top of every search? Your MLS board may require that you display the listing brokerage, but they didn't say that you couldn't list it in the fine print. Why not put your contact info and photo prominently beside each listing as a call to action? having full control of how your site displays data DOES make a difference. We know how to make it work for you.
While RETS was a great idea, the final system is neither simple or user friendly. Experience working with a RETS server is required. We have build RETS datafeeds for Realtors in Eagle County, Summit County, and Grand County Colorado. We have worked with MLXchnage and flexMLS. MLXchange and flexMLS are not affiliated with Hunnellwebdesign. We simply work with the xml datafeed that they provide.
Here are a few examples of website that we have worked with:
www.Gatewayland.com - Eagle County and Grand County
www.BreckenridgeOnline.com - Summit County
www.VailRealEstate.com - Eagle County **
www.summitcountyrealestate.com - Summit County **
**I have not worked with this company since leaving my former employer
